此笔筒雕工精致，底、口外撇，中间收腰，张力十足。因紫檀硬度高，选择用浅雕山水，此山水意境十足，线条有力，山石方圆结合，刀笔相见，人物刻画传神。只见几位老者于山间桥上似有所云，游山玩水，寄情山水好不恰意。紫檀生长速度缓慢，5年才一年轮，要800年以上才能成材，硬度为木材之首，系称“王者之木”，非一般木材所能比。
