作者简介：吕佛庭号半僧，河南泌阳人，生于1911年，北平美专毕业，受徐燕孙，陈缘督，管平湖诸大家指授，所作上追唐宋，法吴道子，李公麟，兼习山水，法巨然，子久，仲圭诸家。尝绘蜀道万里图卷，雄关险栈，山川罗列。去台北后曾任教育部美育委员会驻会委员，兼台湾艺术教育馆美术组主任。先后任教于台北师范大学、文化大学艺术研究所、艺术专科学校、台中师范学校。画学会辅导、书法学会常务监事、美术协会荣誉理事。擅水墨、专攻山水。1965年获第一届中山文艺奖，1988年获文艺基金会文化建设特别贡献奖。著有《中国书画源流》、《中国画史评传》等书。
