青白玉油润凝洁，玉质细腻，局部有黄褐色沁斑。工匠巧以俏色雕琢了龙首，整器圆环造型，浮雕卷体摇尾龙，龙身蜷曲作双环状，身躯上以游丝工艺装饰随形状流转的线条，将身体上的须髯一丝不苟的加以描绘，增加了身体的动势。整体造型简洁生动，纹饰线条流畅，体现出琢玉的技艺。这种身体弯卷的龙体姿态，在汉代时成为咬尾龙，经过世代相传，形象不断更替，但审美的意趣代代相延。
