香熏通体精铜打造。炉盖为兽首，张口露齿吐舌，鼻息微仰，蹙眉圆目，有两耳，头顶部毛发扬起后下垂呈锯齿纹与炉身扣合，脑后以一纽相连，可开合。炉身一侧有尾下垂，身上浅雕如意纹饰。此炉造型生动，构思奇特，融艺术和实用为一体，体现了明代的铸铜工艺水平。
