勒子初始并非玉石玛瑙，是结绳后的绳子于生产劳动中的应用附件，将兽皮包卷绳上，两端用细绳系紧，成为提握功能，后发展为更加耐用的石玉材料，直至成为饰品等。此件勒子玉质呈青绿色，局部受沁，表面打磨光滑圆润，有光泽，体型较大，打磨技术较为高超。素面无纹。玉勒一般挂于胸前或腰间，可单独挂，也可与其他玉饰组合挂。此件青玉大勒子体型粗大，较为少见。
