说明：笔架亦称笔格，为搁笔的文房用具。已有1500余年的历史。南北朝时就已有笔架的记载，唐代笔架流传下来的极为罕见，但从文献来看，此时的笔架已经成为文房的常设之物。宋代笔架传世品和出土物较多，材质多样，有铜、瓷、石等，其形多为山形。到了明代，笔架成为文房中不可或缺之物，其材质更加多样，不但有铜、珊瑚、玛瑙、水晶，还有瓷、玉、木等。
此山形笔架为群峰式，峰上褶皱明显，山势嶙峋，给人以顿挫之感。表面斑驳，包浆滋润，颇具文人意趣。
