题跋：乾隆朝黄仲则之子黄乙生山水册叶 王世襄题 |说明：黄乙生生卒年为公元1771—1821年，江苏阳湖人，字小仲，黄仲则之子。刻苦于学，通郑氏《礼》。清朝包世臣《艺舟又楫》云：“乙亥夏与阳湖黄乙生小仲同客扬州，小仲攻书较余更力，年亦较深，小仲谓余书解侧势而未得其要，余病小仲时出侧笔，小仲犹以未尽侧为憾，相处三月，朝夕辨证不相下。小仲曰：‘书之道，妙在左右有牝牡相得之致，一字一画之工拙不计也。余学汉分，悟其法，以观晋、唐真行，无不合者。’又云：‘唐以前书，皆始艮终乾，宋以后书，皆始巽终坤。’”清朝李桓《国朝耆献类徵》、近代梁披云《中国书法大辞典》收录。
