款识：管樵作||钤印：管樵父 颖苏 |谢管樵（1811-1864），名颖苏，号懒云，初字采山，后改管樵、管樵，又号北溪渔隐，书画禅。福建诏安人。幼承家学，少能绘事，又善技击兵法，以诗书画三绝着称，曾参加科考，未中试，游踪多在闽粤。约于1857 年至1860 年间旅居台湾，先后寓于台南吴家宜秋山馆、板桥林家，并曾北游三貂岭，时与大龙峒文士往来，后又往新竹潜园为客，后人称谢与吕世宜、叶化成为“三先生”。
