|蔡守愚（1552－1621），字体言，号发吾，明末同安县平林（今金门）人。万历十四年（1586）进士，先后任职于南仪制司主事，工部屯田司主事，虞衡司员外郎，四川副使、参政、按察使、布政使。他在四川任职时间最长，时四川山区土酋常啸众剽掠，播州（今遵义）尤甚，他督军平定。对其它土司扰乱者，采用惩治首恶，余者不问的办法，使其震服。他为官清廉，库有余银分文不拿。任期满后，归故里闭门著书，传世之作有《百一斋稿》、《明伦宝鉴》等。
