A Tibetan copper alloy figure of Buddha 15th/16th century or earlier Seated in dhyanasana on double lotus base, bearing a kalasha, the dhoti and shawl with incised floret pattern, a "patch" centered by a floret at one corner of the shawl, retaining traces of gold paint and mineral pigments, the base sealed. Approx. H: 5 in., 12.7cm PROVENANCE: Property from the collection of Ann and Don McPhail, Philadelphia, PA Acquired from Sisters Adele Fiske and Cora Brady, brought to the US, prior to 1970
