是书为《贰臣传》十二卷、 《逆臣传》四卷。《贰臣传》是乾隆帝在乾隆四十一年正式提出编纂的，收录了明末清初在明清两朝为官的人物百余人，入选对象“遭际时限，不能为其主临危受命”而“大节有亏”者，故称“贰臣”。拍品前有牌记：“国史馆缮本”。《逆臣传》是乾隆帝命国史馆官员利用实录以及军机处档案，将乾隆四十年以前的满汉臣工、宗室王公、蒙古王公中的叛逆者，编为《逆臣传》，陆续进呈，钦定成书颁行。并写入四库全书，垂为信史。
