|清道光甲申年（1824）扶荔山房刻朱墨套印本|白纸 六册|提要：《史记菁华录》初梓行于清康熙六十年辛丑（1721）。选评者钱塘姚祖恩，少喜读《史记》。在研读过程中，其有感于是书意味深长，而当时又没有令人满意的评本可读，于是便设想“抽挹精华，批导窾却”，使《史记》的天工人巧和太史公的苦心孤诣呈露于读者面前。由此可见，《史记菁华录》实际上是经作者精心剪裁又加评语的史记读本。
