|砖侧阳文：永嘉三年，上端饰几何纹，菱形纹。|提要：考：永嘉三年为西晋怀帝司马炽之年号，即公元309年。|案：砚以半砖斫之，砚体呈长方形，砚堂平展开阔，砚首浅浮雕云龙纹。中间一朵大的云朵深挖作为墨池，龙为主纹，云纹为铺，龙做飞腾状舞动于云间，“龙无定形，云无定态，形态万变，云龙不改，文无定法，是即法在无骋，尔才横流沧海。”以诠其意。此砚精工镌凿，刀法圆润，自然流畅。砚面上端绕水池密云重裹，双龙翻腾隐现其间。周边流云似被翔龙扰腾所甩开，轻然散流，依砚侧转至砚背，就砖料之凹凸，勾成数朵如意流云，浑然古拙，毫无生硬之感觉。|说明：附一朱一墨拓片。
