|文房山子自古为文人案头清供，是渊源已久的文人审美意趣。缩山为尺，囊入书斋，于斗室之间玩享山水。此件山子以青金石为材，青金之色深蓝，纯正而不浓艳，似琉璃而微泛凝脂之泽，深藏若虚；质地均匀细腻，温润莹澈，石体坚凝，通体光华，堪称天成。青金石，旧时被奉为礼天之宝，佛家也称作碧琉璃，尊之为七宝之一。《淮南子-缘形训》载：“青曾八百岁生青澒，青澒八百岁生青金。”《石雅》言：“青金石色相如天，或复金屑散乱，光辉灿灿，若众星之丽于天也。”明清之际，青金石为宫廷所用。山子下部为汉白玉雕四方石盆，包浆古厚，韵味十足。|御题诗文为：“耸翠层峦接碧空，清凉襟袖拂天风。石头城一西临望，千古兴亡慨叹中。乾隆丁酉三月御题。”
