此朝珠即为沉香打磨成珠，通体嵌“寿”字，寿字为银鎏金材质，其工艺之繁缛，较普通念珠，多之数倍。缀角为碧玺材质。沉香之古朴与宝石之辉煌交相辉映，华美而不失质朴。沉香有明目清心、去烦燥之功效，夏日佩戴沉香，可防暑去燥，历代以来皆视为珍贵之物，颇为难得。蔡攸《丛谈》有云：“万安黎母山东的沉香，冠绝天下，一片万钱”。明、清两代，皇室皆喜好用沉香制成各类精巧器物，本品选料精良，配色清丽，雅致离俗，十分难得，北京故宫博物院即有此类藏品，可为参考。
