A Japanese gilt and enameled Satsuma pottery vase and cover Meiji period, second half 19th century Elaborately decorated, with flowering prunus and chrysanthemums, the petal-molded shoulder decorated with a border of fan reserves, incorporating "Gosu" blue diaper border to floret-pierced neck and foot, the domed cover with similar fan motifs, underside inscribed "Satsuma yaki, Masanobu"; together with a carved wood stand.
