作者简介：侯汝承（1859—1937）字意园，清咸丰九年（1859）出生于河南杞县名门望族。少时天资颖慧，禀赋不凡，且能奋志笃学，以县、府、院三试案首（第一名）传为美谈。自幼喜爱书画，对传统的花鸟、山水画有深入的研究。特别是其写意花鸟画，在写意中又有工笔之味，既有清初恽南田笔意，又有北宋宫廷画院工笔花鸟之趣。
