拍品取大块翡翠为材，巧雕瑞兽口衔灵芝，寓有“瑞寿长年”之吉祥含义。瑞兽头生独角，圆眼阔鼻，四肢根部饰火焰纹，阴线浅刻而出，线条流畅，尾毛、鬃毛浓密，开丝细致。良工精心相材，将翠色最美之处雕作灵芝，颇富匠心。
翡翠自清乾隆时期开始进入宫廷，以其色泽翠绿而得到帝后及皇亲贵胄的喜爱。其材料珍贵难得，质硬性脆，雕琢不易，多制作首饰佩戴，文房用器较少。拍品工艺熟练精美，抛光细腻，为个中之佼佼者。
