|此牌呈扁平长方形，以螺钿为材，两面纹饰如一，浅浮雕九只鹭鸶穿梭于荷叶莲花之间，或飞或涉，叶迎风翻卷，生动自然，颇有野趣。鹭鸶与莲花为“一路连科”，寓意应试求连、求捷，仕途顺遂，表示科举仕途顺利。古时科举时代士子为求功名，特别喜爱一路连科题材之装饰。|螺钿工艺是中国古代传统艺术瑰宝，由于其本身的外观特质，由它制作的工艺品均显现出强烈的视觉效果，华丽异常，螺钿材质实为珍贵少见。
