Chinese Song Dynasty or Jin Dynasty Green Junyao Crackle Glaze Jar with 2 looped handles to shoulder and the interior base with three unglazed spots, the outside base glazed inside the unglazed foot ring; together with a pierced Hardwood Cover with a cream colored jade or hardstone "Yin-Yang" finial. Porcelain broken and restored with small losses, chip to mouth with infill, traces of old gold repairs. Height with cover 6 5/8 inches (16.8 cm.). Diameter at mouth 5 3/8 inches (13.8 cm.). PROVENANCE: Purchased at PB84, a subsidiary of Sotheby Parke Bernet in the early 1980's.
