选用和田玉籽料雕就，白玉亮洁晶莹，温润顺滑，两面均工。正面褐色玉皮俏色雕刻瑞鸟凤凰，伫立于云海间，头顶红日，微微曲颈，回首而望，舒展而起，细致灵动，层次分明。背面雕琢神龙，曲体盘屈，龙体纤长而线条流转，清白处琢如意云纹，凹凸有致，犹如飞龙在天，翱翔于杳冥之上。
此件精妙地以「巧色」工艺化留皮为点缀，前后龙凤呼应，工法自然而别出心裁。自古“龙凤”皆为中国传统吉祥灵兽，象征太平盛世，福泰安康。
