马氏兄弟侨居扬州，经营盐业，为当地巨富，人称“扬州二马”，丛书楼为其藏书楼名。二人酷嗜典籍，家内附设刻印工场，以千金刻朱彝尊《经义考》，校刊《说文》、《玉篇》、《广韵》、《字鉴》等书，时称“马版”。此为马氏兄弟据开成石经本覆雕，后有马曰璐跋。字大如钱，笔划丰腴，纸白墨润，气势磅礴。其后光绪间有翻刻本，远逊此本。马氏丛书楼仿宋刻本 乾隆开化纸原刻
