书用上等白棉纸印成，字大遒劲，开本宏阔，原装原签，内府装潢形保存颇好。司礼监自明宣宗起权位日重，后成为总管内府各项事务的部门，其下设经厂“管一切经书印板及印成书籍，佛道蕃藏，皆总理之”。经厂的规模发展至明世宗是更是达到鼎盛，司礼监几乎成为了明内府刻书的代名词。是书几乎每页皆有蓝批“奸臣”、“谗臣”字样，皇帝平时批示用朱批，特殊期间如尚未亲政或守孝期间用蓝批。著录：《明代版刻图释》P19 ，《中国古籍善本总目》P797，《天禄琳琅书目》P504。明嘉靖司礼监刻本
