The vaseÃÂ potted with a brilliantly compressed globular lower body supported on a splayed foot, rising to a trumpet long neck flanked by pair of dragon head handles, the exterior powerfully carved in raised relief with threeÃÂ wide bands depictingÃÂ taotieÃÂ masks framed by symmetricalÃÂ archaisticÃÂ kuilong, the curved dragon body reduced to stylized scrolls, with ruyi-cloud around the shoulder, covered overall in a bronze glaze of brown tone to simulate the patina of bronze, splashed with gilt marks to mimic Xuande style bronze decoration, the brown-glazed base impressedÃÂ with a six-character seal mark within a square. Original hardwood stand. Late 19th century. 14" H.
