水盂又名水中丞，据晚明著名清赏家文震亨《长物志》记载：“水中丞以铜性猛，贮水久则有毒，易脆笔，故必以陶者为佳。”故文人雅士历来对瓷质水盂情有独钟。拍品敛口，丰肩，弧腹至底收，下承浅圈足，器形圆润饱满，可爱盈然；内壁施白釉，光素润泽，外壁满施宝石红釉，莹润均匀，深沉含蓄；本品沉静古拙，置于文房案几，文雅之至，为清早期慕古创新的难得佳品。
