瓶型承宋代式样，敞口，束颈，圆鼓腹下垂，高圈足外撇，造型秀美典雅。器口、内壁及外底满施白釉，釉汁洁白润泽，外壁尽施霁红釉，釉质坚致，细腻匀净。整器烧造精良，素肌玉骨，浑然天成，为清代祭红釉玉壶春瓶之难得精品。据成书于清嘉庆年间的《景德镇陶魁》记载，“霁红器，陶户能造霁红者少，无专家，惟好官古户仿之。”道光时期龚洵亦在所编的《景德镇陶歌》中说：“官古窑成重霁红，最难全美费良工。霜天晴画精心合，一样烧百不同。”可知霁红釉是清代烧造难度较大的品种，要烧得纯正之霁红釉并非易事，而拍品色呈鲜红，更是难得珍贵。来源：1.纽约苏富比Lot81；2.美国棕榈滩重要私人珍藏。
