中原铜鎏金此尊为明代汉地造像。阿弥陀佛是梵文“阿弥陀婆佛陀”和“阿弥陀庚斯佛陀”的音译略称，意思是“无量寿”和“无量光”，是主持西方极乐世界的教主，常见形象为双手结禅定印，呈金刚跏趺坐姿，此像即为典型。阿弥陀佛螺发肉髻，顶饰髻珠，面庞丰腴端庄，双目垂俯，相容和熙。造像肩胸宽厚，体态饱满，胸前刻卍字纹，身着通肩式袈裟，内露裙角，衣纹的处理采用汉地写实手法，折迭曲覆，质感较强。双手于脐前结禅定印，结金刚跏趺坐于莲花座上。仰莲座莲瓣层叠错落，饱满而富有生机。整尊造像铜制精沉，鎏金悦目，制作工艺精美，佛陀形体饱满，衣褶富有立体感，不失为明代金铜造像中的佳制，值得珍视。
