Fine and Large Chinese 19 Century Enameled thick Porcelain Double 5-Claw Dragon Planter with a well painted design of two different colored enameled Dragons moving through 5-color clouds each chasing a Flaming Pearl with gold highlights; base and lower half of inside left unglazed. Good condition with light age related wear to enamels and gold, small glaze flakes around mouth and a few enamel flakes to the painting, hard-water discoloration to outside glaze at foot, small and short star crack to glaze inside not visible outside, original drainage hole now closed. Height 13 3/4 inches (35 cm.) X diameter at mouth 15 1/2 inches (39.5 cm.). PROVENANCE: Christie's New York, 20 December 2000, Lot 64.
