Two Arias Bernal (1913-1960) lithographs, including: "At the Victory Table", signed in print L/L, 15" x 11 1/4" (sheet), frame 25" x 20 1/2"; "Tragedy of Europe", signed in print L/R, 15" x 11 1/4", frame 30 1/4" x 25 1/2". This litho depicts the sword coming out of Germany and lashing twelve different countries. Eight months prior to WWII peace agreement being signed, Ignacio Icaza and Arias Bernal finished drawings in the form of playing cards. Prior to the close of the war, these were used as propaganda posters. Provenance: Mexico City, Mexico estate.
