此器铜质缜密，造型圆润，形体饱满，双耳峻峭，线条优雅，手头极重，敦实沉稳。束颈，鼓腹，下承三乳足。炉身宽阔厚重，三乳足肥硕沉稳而不笨拙。皮色腊茶，包浆一流。底款周正细致，极其精美。此炉无论从铜质、造型、款识、还是皮色、手头、年份来讲，均为官造炉中佳器。其样式典雅，法意良善。 大明宣德年制
