林纾（1852-1924），初名群玉，字琴南，号畏庐，福建闽县人。光绪八年举人。工诗及古文，以译外国小说一百八十余种著称于世。擅山水，又能花鸟。晚年定居北京，著述繁富。 款识：已近清明仍不雨宣南日月弄荫寒育霖大沛知何日，且作襄阳画本看。正月至于三月京师均不雨，麦已无望，大无之感，复见今年写此时为掷者再，畏庐居士识。钤印：畏庐（朱）文叔藏画（朱）
