A Dutch silver commemorative spoon. Hallmarked Amsterdam. Year letter probably (C) 1689. With engraving: 'Willem Rex Maria Regina Gekroont 21 April 1689. Dit is der Schutters Waakgenot Van Kapteijn Hemert's Eerste Rot Als Jacob Engelants quelde Dat Hollants Willem Herstelde'. The stem crowned with figures of William and Mary. This spoon has been loaned by the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam (on the back the on loan number: NG-BR-497) A similar spoon is in the collection of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam (inv. nr. NG-NM-855).
