Diminutive Red-painted Maple Secretary Desk, probably Salem, Massachusetts, c. 1750-70, with flattened removable arched bonnet with flame-carved finials, above the case with two paneled doors opening to a divided interior with long shelf above a slant-lid and thumb-molded drawer, set into a molded frame with drawer joining four cabriole legs, ht. 63 1/2, cornice wd. 31 1/2, case dp. 17 3/4 in.
