Porcelain saucer dish. K'ang his period (1662-1722). With a Ch'eng Hua mark. Tou Tsai ware. Decoration of the San Duo around a central reserve of a pomegranate tree. Chips and hairline cracks. 6-1/4" d. Provenance: from a descendant of St. Louis, Missouri industrialist/civic leader and philanthropist William Keeney Bixby. Bixby retired at the age of 48 in 1905 and pursued his collecting passions including many trips to China. This item may have additional high-resolution photographs, available to view at our Dropbox.
