款识：舍弟从平陶……弟名另肃冲。钤印：张学曾印说明 水墨纸本 信札（一通一开）此信札是张学曾与友人平常往来，述其弟从平陶任期结束回来待补缺在即，又问“载澄先生”近况，及录写扇子求教等诸事。张学曾（公元17世纪）明末清初画家，字尔唯，号约庵，山阴（今浙江绍兴）人，生卒年不详。崇祯六年（1633）副贡，官苏州知府。张学曾为「画中九友」之一，在艺术上受董其昌、王时敏之影响非浅，其艺术风格，与当时流派相融合。山水师董源，出入于宋、元诸家。喜仿元人笔，苍秀疏简，妍而不甜，枯而不涩。程正揆题其画云：「此道寥寥，得其解者，唯约庵吾友，差足与语，不复多见矣。”
