The bowl is exquisitely-potted with round sides supported on short foot, rising to a tapering mouth. The bowl on the interior is decorated with plum, pine and bergamot, and to the exterior outlining the famous 'San Qing' poem. The poetry and characters are neatly arranged, depicting the scene of the late autumn and winter with the emperor's high appreciation of new tea. The foot and mouth rim are ingeniously selected with auspicious emblems of ruyi-heads encircling throughout. Japanese wood box. H5.5 x 11 cm PROVENANCE: A Private collection in Tokyo.
