(34.3 x 27cm) Executed circa 1905. PROVENANCE: Private Collection, Pennsylvania.NOTE: John O'Shea, better known as a California impressionist painter, also created commercial work in New York City, providing drawings for various purposes, like many of his fine arts colleagues in the early 20th century. He was closely connected to the Boost Club of New York (A trade group promoting printers and publishers) circa 1905-1908. In the present work, two of the three "Reporters for The Booster" refer to William P. Christopher and Henry J. Berger, members of the Boost Club of New York. See More
