|送子观音面容慈祥呈坐姿，双手托小儿，背后有镂雕竹林，左侧有净瓶，上方有金翅鸟。送子观音是民间崇拜的佛教神祗，通常以抱着男孩的妇女形象出现，人们相信供奉送子观音可得子嗣。南朝梁王琰《异祥记》中，有位名叫卞悦之的居士年过五十却没有儿女，娶妾几年亦没有怀孕，便向观音菩萨祈求子嗣，发愿颂《观音经》一千遍。居士从此每天念经，快满一千遍时，妾已怀孕，不久后生下儿子。
