观音面容端庄，多处小磕修。 此尊观音开脸饱满，法相端严。菩萨头束高髻，双耳垂肩，神态慈祥，略带笑意。颈佩璎珞，身披长袍、锦帔，着长裙，衣纹处理流畅自然。观音怀抱小童，盘腿屈膝而坐。小童笑容可爱形态逼真。整器造型大方，气质高雅、安详，整器施彩柔和，浓淡分明，立体感强。 观音菩萨是观察世间民众声音的菩萨，具有无量的智慧和神通，大慈大悲，普救人间灾难，是宫廷及民间最为常见的佛教供养菩萨，然而由于造像的造型复杂，对细部要求高，成功之作甚少。加之难以保存，故传世的粉彩佛像十分稀少。
