|铜胎画珐琅是以红铜制胎，后在胎土敷一层白釉，烧结后用釉色彩绘，经二三次填彩、修正后再烧结、镀金、磨光而成。乾隆时期为盛期，技艺获得全面提高，品种增多，并具有浓郁的民族特色。北京烧瓷，在工艺上近似景泰蓝，在装饰上又有瓷器的风貌，所以它既具有景泰蓝厚重、端庄的特色，又有瓷器明丽、清雅的风采，从而构成了它独具一格的艺术特征。该器仿青铜器爵型，口部前伸为槽形流，流口宽厚；腹部下有三足外撇，以铜为胎体，其上于珐琅彩画螭龙纹一周，亦是出自青铜造型，仿古不泥古。
