说明：附紫檀砚盒。这方砚台色呈紫黑，质地凝腻如婴儿之肌肤，乃是明代端砚中不可多得的佳质之品。明代砚台装潢开始“镌山水鱼虫化卉于池上”的风气，这方端砚就是其中之典型——砚台整体雕刻为瓜叶交迭之情状，叶片舒展处即是砚堂，砚堂处有鱼脑冻之花纹，如冰如雪、非烟非雾，浮动活现；叶脉交织处则深凹为砚池，造型自然而富有天趣，特别是砚材天然的斑驳被巧妙地化作叶片上的虫蚀，更显得浑然天成，给人以天人合一的妙造之感。此砚外壳包浆浑厚，应为藏家所珍爱，常以摩挲盘玩，更突显出明代传承至今所蕴含的厚重文人气息。
