题识：朝阳先生大雅之属。李太白诗《望庐山瀑布》。刘炳森时客广东汕头。钤印：刘炳森印（白）释文：日照香炉生紫烟，遥看瀑布挂前川。飞流直下三千呎，疑是银河落九天。刘炳森（1937～2005），字树庵，号海村，河北武清人。书法家，画家。1962年毕业于北京艺术学院美术系，毕业后入故宫博物院从事书画临摹、修复和研究工作，得何二水、郑涌先、宁斧成指导。曾任北京故宫博物院研究员、中国书协副主席、中国文联副主席等职。出版有《刘炳森隶书杜诗》、《刘炳森楷书滕王阁序》、《刘炳森隶书千字文》、《隶书刍见》等。
