嘉定竹刻风格。水丞截取竹根雕为松干式，呈不规则形状，随形起伏，微凹，口部较小，口边浮雕松枝松叶，使其似树桩内积水形成，引人遐思。器身雕松叶屈曲伸展，遮覆于周遭，设计精巧；针叶雕刻纤毫毕现，富于质感。同时保留竹根天然形态，稍加打磨，与雕刻面恰成对比。此器配木座一具。构图舒密得当，刀工犀利，当出名家之手；整体精巧可爱，为古代文人案头赏玩之名品。
