炉铜质精炼，造型仿三代青铜鼎式样制，上置双耳，炉腹深俊饱满，下承四戟式状足，修长，整器予人庄严肃穆之感，呈现古朴典雅之风。鼎炉腹身仿商周兽面纹饰，纹饰制作繁复密致。炉上又配木制镂空卷草纹鼎盖，其上置白玉扭顶，使鼎炉体现沉厚庄重同时，又不失清秀雅致之气，别有意味。纵观此炉，造型大气威严，炉身纹饰规整肃穆，于沉穆古雅之中寓高贵华丽之风，极为难得，当为鉴藏家珍视。
