TO EUGÈNE MILLET (1818-1979)
"Japanese decoration, version with relief enamels"
commonly known as "Service Grands Oiseaux" designed around [1882-85].
A 7-piece earthenware service wager with polychrome enamelled decoration in light relief on an ivory background and composed as follows:
- An oval dish. The bottom is lightly faienced. L.: 57 cm.
- Of a rare stewed fruit on foot in the taste of Asia and treated
with gold in the oven. D.: 22,5.
- From a plate. D.: 25 cm.
- From a standing bowl (the bottom is yellowed). D.: 23 cm.
- A small oval dish. L.: 28 cm.
- A large oval dish. L.: 45 cm.
- A large hollow bowl. D.: 34.5 cm.
Each piece marked with the Japanese cartridge seal
from the factory (ref. Du Pasquier 46) on the reverse.
