铜 鉴真（688—763），俗姓淳于，扬州bai江阳县（今扬州）人。唐代扬州佛教盛行，云集着中外僧人，佛寺多达三四十所。鉴真的家庭充满着浓厚的佛教气氛，他父亲是个虔诚的佛教居士，经常到大云寺参禅拜佛，并随大云寺智满禅师受戒。在家庭的影响下，幼年的鉴真也对佛教产生浓厚兴趣。他“总丱俊明，器度宏博①。十四岁时，有一次他随父亲到大云寺拜佛，为佛像庄重、慈祥的造型所感动，随即向父亲提出要求出家为僧。父亲见他心诚志坚，在征得智满禅师的同意后，他在大云寺出了家。从此鉴真成了他的法名。
