Features The GMT-Master is one of the most iconic watches of all time; Rolex launched it in 1954 to give pilots a watch that could read two time zones. The reference 1675 was the second reference of this model, replacing the reference 6542. The 1675 was offered in a few different variations. The present example in 1975 was cased with the serial n. 4.011.xxx in 18k yellow gold with a brown “root beer” dial and bezel with a leather band. While the GMT model was originally produced as a tool watch for pilots, Rolex realized that there was an increased demand among international travelers and a viable market for a dressier version.
