Large Bottle Vase, Totaro Sakuma (1900-1976), Japan, flattened octagonal flask shape, with octagonal neck and mouth, resting on a rectangular base with four bracket feet, thickly potted, painted with brushed designs in two roundels on the front and back, against a metallic brown ground mottled with darker meshes, spots, and blotches, the glaze with firing cracks, ht. 9 1/2 in.
