Large Chinese blue and red dragon vase, early 19th century, superbly potted with baluster body elegantly rising to tall cylindrical neck, all supported on splayed foot, with exquisitely painted clouds in vibrant shades of deep cobalt blue and bright copper red, showing scaly five-clawed dragons soaring sinuously through a dense network of scrolling cloud with scales meticulously rendered, all above wave band bordering base rim, base further covered with transparent glaze, with foot ring orange in firing, 23 1/2" h.
