|京造 铜鎏金||护法神是指保护、维持正法的神明。藏传佛教中的大部分护法神都来自印度或藏地的苯教，有世间和出世间之分别，世间护法地位较低，尚没有出离三界，出世间护法地位较高，已断除烦恼，证得圣果，也可作为众生密修依止的对象。护法头戴五叶宝冠，顶髻高耸，面相方圆，眉目清秀。口微张，身戴项圈、璎珞、臂钏、手镯、脚环等饰物；护法胸膛劲挺，骑坐于牛身上；牛作跪伏状，张嘴昂头，形象生动活泼。
